Karting exhibition takes off in 2023

The Corona pandemic and the associated restrictions for visitors from Germany and abroad have prompted the organizers of the International Karting Exhibition to postpone the 29th edition by one year to 14-15 January 2023. The venue will remain the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund.

A few months ago, the Kartmesse presented its new program for the future. After many years in Offenbach am Main in Hessen, the world’s largest kart show is moving to Dortmund. But the comeback will have to wait another year. “The increasing restrictions in connection with the Corona pandemic are currently making it very difficult to hold the event. We are an international exhibition and of course we want to give our exhibitors the chance to welcome all visitors,” explains Kartmesse Managing Director Marcel Fuchsberger.

But everything is already set for 2023. From 14-15 January, the 29th edition will take place in the spacious exhibition halls of the Westfalenhalle Dortmund. With the move to the Ruhr region, the karting exhibition is entering unfamiliar territory and taking advantage of the good infrastructure. With significantly more open exhibition halls, more space, direct parking and good air, train and motorway connections, the trade fair location offers numerous advantages.

The current exhibition plans will soon be published on the karting exhibition’s website at www.kartmesse.de and will be available for booking for 2023. “We have already had great demand for the planned 2022 version and are receiving positive feedback on the changes that have been made. Now we are looking ahead to 2023 and a new, large and more extensive Kartmesse than there has ever been,” continues Fuchsberger.

New poster for exhibition premiere in Dortmund

Several innovations await the 29th edition of the international karting exhibition. For the first time, the world’s leading exhibition for karting will be held in Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen from 15. and 16. January 2022 and now also presents the new poster in a fresh design.

“We are delighted that our “new” Kartmesse is taking shape. With Messe Dortmund, we have found an environment that does justice to our exhibitors and visitors. The height of the halls offers a lot of design possibilities, our exhibitors can place their trailers directly in the hall and thus save costs and effort compared to the past,” explains fair director Marcel Fuchsberger.

But not only the location is new, there are also changes in the poster. With a fresh new design, the exhibition is now starting its advertising and public relations work. The Kartmesse will continue to focus on the entire variety of karting. From racing and rental karts to accessories for kart drivers and kart track operators, Dortmund leaves nothing to be desired.

“The interest of the exhibitors is great. After a two-year break, they want to present the news to the public again. In addition, we are also working on a good supporting programme to provide our visitors with even more variety,” Marcel Fuchsberger continues.

At the same time, the Kartmesse website is currently being updated. All important information for exhibitors and visitors will be available there soon. Interested parties can contact Marcel Fuchsberger at any time at info@kartmesse.de or +49 160 97531108.

Kartmesse canceled – realignment for 2022

One month before the 29th edition of the Kartmesse was to open its doors in Offenbach, the world’s largest Karting Expo was officially cancelled today.

After the Kartmesse had already been postponed in the winter, organizer Marcel Fuchsberger had decided on a new date in the summer (July 17 and 18, 2021), but now it had to be canceled as well.

“I deeply regret the cancellation of the Kartmesse, but unfortunately there was no other option. Despite the improving pandemic situation, it was not feasible to hold the Kartmesse. In addition, the fair attracts an international audience and exhibitors from all over the world, and abroad the situation is sometimes not as stable as in Germany. Unfortunately, the time for such large-scale indoor events has not yet come. Setting another alternate date for the second half of the year did not make sense for us, since a large part of the industry is then in the racing season and the industry is already busy with productions and developments for the following year,” explains Marcel Fuchsberger.

However, planning for the Kartmesse 2022 is already in full swing. “The need for a Kartmesse is absolutely given and I have received a broad response from exhibitors who have expressed their regret about the cancellation. I now see the enforced break as a perfect chance for a new start of the Kartmesse. In 2022, we want to come back more modern, bigger and more versatile.”
